Furnace Data Acquisition
On the main site at NEIR, the furnaces had equipment that would monitor the temperature, silicon content, carbon content etc. When the floor-man would press a button to obtain the information, the equipment would print out the readings on a parallel printer.

I created server based software that would take in the readings from the equipment and store in a database. To read the data I created a client, which was installed on every PC in the company. I used the server/client technique because the network had been expanded and wanted to show an advantage in using the network to its full potential.

Note: I cannot provide screenshots or downloadable media as I do not own the rights to software produced for The North Eastern Iron Refining Company.
